Jan 5, 1916.
Mr. Rieber brought me a Flicker's nest-
ring box - octagonal. Rain, very cold.
Birds come very freely to feed
Jan. 6. Maximum flock on feeding ground.
13 Golden-crowned Sparrows, 4 Fox Sparrows,
2 wren-tits, 3 Thrashers, 2 Blue jays, 3 Song
Sparrows, 4 Cal. Brown Towhees, 3 S.F. Towhees,
1 White-throated sparrow.
Jan. 7. Haven't heard a Nuttall's this winter.
Jan. 14. Mr. R. and Fred brought me another Flicker's
box and a box for a Wren. Saw following
birds eating until - 11:38 - 2 P.M. 7 Golden-crowned Sp.,
3 Fox Sp., 2 Wren-tits,
Jan. 15. Most of birds except Nuttall Thrush
were eating suet. Saw six Fox Sp. taking
turns at it.
Jan. 16. Saw 6 Bluebirds flying from south to
north just west of King C.
Jan. 18. Rusty Song Sparrow appeared again (2nd year)
