Dutch Flat. were found. The following birds were noted. 1. Mountain Quail - found on Rattlesnake ditch and in the "Diggings". Corey of young - very small July 18. 2. Mourning Dove, a pair seen on meadow east of Pine Mound. I heard also June 21 in diggings near Gold Run. 3. Turkey Buzzards - Two very large hawks were seen circling above the hill to east of Dutch Flat village on June 18. 4. Red-shafted Flicker - occasional 5. Western Nighthawk - heard first at Dutch Flat village June 17. I heard and saw two above Pine Mound June 18 at 7 P.M. and on succeeding evenings.
