From diningroom window saw one White
Throated Sp., 6 Golden-cs. Sp., 2 Fox Sparrows,
1 Thrasher, 1 Rabbit, 2 Cal. Br. Orioles, 2 Wrent-tits,
Coast Jay - Out of nest window saw flocks
of about 50 juncos, 30 quail, Varied
Robins, 1 Thrasher.
Dec. 15. Took walk with James thru Golden Gate
Park to Cliff House. Beautiful Day.
Among Ducks, saw Puddy, Buffle Heads,
Mallards, Many Bobolinks and Varied Robins
Dec. 16. Went to Palos Altos with Winnifred -
Spent morning (10-12) in Arboretum -
Beautiful day - clear, crisp.
Found following birds -
1. Cal. Quail - a few.
2. Sharp-shinned Hawk - one.
3. Cal. Woodpecker - several - very noisy in oak trees
4. Red-shafted Flicker - a few.
5. Anna - Hummingbird - 6 t
