5. Baird Cormorant - Drake's Bay - feeding young.
Many gulls and cormorants on the
flat topped rocks which are a little
off shore. Some also on cliffs of
mainland.
6. Tufted Puffin - flew out from crevice in
rocky shore, Drake's Bay.
7. Canvas back Ducks - several feeding
in upper and Tomales Bay.
8. Brown Pelicans - one near pier Inverness,
Several up the bay toward St. Reyes Sta.
9. Great Blue Herons - 2 near Chicken Ranch,
one up the bay.
10. American Coot - abundant in Tomales Bay
11. Valley Quail - two infield near St. Reyes Sta.
12. Turkey Buzzards - several above Inverness,
Many near Bear Valley.
13. Western Red-tailed Hawk - saw aerial -
one carrying snake or elk in talons
14. Great Horned Owl - heard first night.
