May 2. Rain again - heavy downpour during
evening and in night.
Found Pileolated Warbler's nest-
Three young - almost naked.
Sat. down 3'2 ft. from nest, bird
Came - regurgitated food, brooded
about 8 min., spent four minutes
collecting worms, brooded 8 min.
again. Did not leave nest when
I got up & came away -
Saw three Cassin Vireos, Heard
Townsend Warblers. Young
Song Sparrows calling lustily.
May 3. Very rainy - the G.C. Sparrow here,
May 5. Rain. Young buck. It's calling constantly.
May 6 - Rain. Saw 2 Townsend Warblers -
May 7 - Rain -
May 8. Went to examine nest of Pileolated Warbler.
Found 5 young, dead in nest. Took it to
Museum. Nest soaking wet.
