took a long walk each day
through the woods and along
the beach, one day going as
far as Point Lobos, after staying
to Carmel. Saw the following birds.
1. Brandt's Cormorant
2. Surf Birds (?) Sanderling
3. Curlew
4. Killdeer with young. Old
birds tried noise of broken wing.
5. Spotted Sandpiper ?
6. Buzzard
7. Red-tailed Hawk
8. Valley Quail (heard)
9. Cal. Bluejay.
10 Steller Jay (Coast Jay)
