one of the first days, high up in
a pine tree that had been filled
by the extension of Lake Angeline
to the west. Old birds were feeding
young. A few days later we
heard the incessant calls of
the young near our camp.
One of the last days of our outing
I came upon a family of
flickers feeding in the Camarack
pines across the dam on Lake
Angeline. Watched one young bird
