1904. June - Crofters (Seguona P.Q.) Mac Gillivray Warbler Water Ouzel - Tolumne River Audubon Hermit Thrush - Heard. Purple Finches were abundant and in full song. The Olive-sided Flycatcher had two perches near our camp. On one, he always gave the call: pee-hee. On the other: pu-pip, pu-pip-pip. I thought at first that it must be two different birds as I never found him interchanging the Calls on the separate perches nor combining both on the Same perch. After I came back to Berkeley, I found one bird giving both calls.
