I met James at Chinese Camp and
we walked from there together
to Crocker's. A donkey carries the
pack. Only first identifications
(with a few exceptions) were
recorded.
Lawrence Goldfinch - Big Creek, June
Lark Finch - Common thro' foothills.
Phainopepla - Several seen near
Hughes which is in much
the same zone as Vallecito
where we found them last year.
Black-Throated Gray Warblers were
seen from Big Oak Flat on.
Canyon Wrens were singing at
Hardins - They were nesting
in a deserted house.
Linnets were about every settlement
but were seldom seen between:
