1912.
Sec 38. Indistinctly speckled. Went to Museum.
to examine specimens. One Harris
Sparrow in winter coloring is
exactly like this bird.
1913
Feb.7. Have seen the same bird
at intervals of about a week,
whenever I have had time to
look for him. Today he was
down in the grass scratching.
At other times he has been
eating grain dropped from
the work horses' grain bags.
Workmen have gone away now.
Feb. 11. Saw Harris Sparrow again.
General coloring lighter than Intermediate,
Flatbills or Goldenspots.
Sides white - bill larger, deeper
yellow. After last of flock to
fly when alarmed and first to return.
