1912 Sept. 26. Heard Ruby Crowned Kinglet in tree near Toney. Oct. 1. Saw what seems to be Black-burnian Warbler. Had no black on throat and back; had very little yellow for Townsend Warbler. Alone in oak tree near my bedroom window about two feet away. (Probably Townsend) Oct. 3. Walked through bottom of Canyon to University. Saw Black-headed Flycatcher. Heard many Ruby-crowned Kinglets; also Golden-crowned Kinglets. Flock of latter near Greek Theater.
