Oct. 1. Moved to Mosswood Road,
No English Sparrows. So began
throwing out crumbs for the
birds. The feeding ground is
on the hillside as it slopes
up immediately in front of
the dining room window.
The following birds soon began
to feed regularly-
Song Sparrows, Blue jays,
Fox Sparrows, Cal. Towhees,
Spurred Towhees, Wren-tits,
Thrushes, 1. Vigors Wren.
Varied Thrushes abundant in woods below house
Over the open hillsides below are many
flocks of White & Golden-crowned Sparrows
Also many Rufous-crowned Sparrows.
