Bird returned almost within 30 sec of my leaving - I left her off 5 mins. - made no attempt at return while I was there - however morning is warm & sunshine in nest again. Within 4 min - male appeared with food - a large piece - came to W part of nest side - slow in coming & 4 - 4 jumped up - came a foot towards him. Grabbed food after a slight wing flutter (rapid) but not note. & flew S whether impale or handle level or not I could not see. Returned to eat within foot of nest
