March 31, 1930 no 6 Around 550 - bid m - cold - bid did not leave as I came into ditch as usual. Finally left as I want to Artichoke. Patch at 6.00. flew to the 15ft S. - drooped to ground - turned turn faster E - Back add in rest by usual approach in 2 min. at 6.03 - male came and fed her m nest - not begging Bid flying E on nest. Bid could not have been feeding for more than 25 min at nest before arrived. 6.16 - 2 trips 10 min within minute - came in from S.W. both turn over bid . 6.16 Sun just up here in valley. 6.28 - Fed - q lifted up Partridge to receive - no nest - 3 came from S.W. our field - Anterior of bridge. 6.32 - 8 came up, parties - female turned head - half of hind wings but no perceptible flutter - ground broke slightly but only to great bird - male at 1 nest edge of I lifted up drift eggs. Bird from - S.W rather than SE edge if not as before this or previous trips of morning. 6.40 - left out of our accord
