March 29 -
Went with Oscar Swidell to begin
of Nogay Hill Santa Clara County
in order to watch Mopigis - saw-
only two shrikes and three near
above SW of Coyote - Birds also
heard south of a large Mopigis grove
but not seen. Rain that was falling
seemed not to have been settling -
no wet ground - both birds at firer
I do not think it could hold him
Two males so close together.
March 30 - Up at 5:30 and
collected a set of Mopigis of 8. from
50 ft oak.
Not none styled knee, one
of pair of shrikes seen yesterday
hot! Again on same section of
wires.
Just North of Coyote a shrike seen
on wire and a nest was found,
in a small scrubby 20 ft oak -
not 16 ft up - bird flushed -
no note made - Set of 6 -
myt very hard packed. I bring
of cloth rope to a large extent
Two eggstatum. - now Set Embryos
no 1/130 in - no other
shrikes seen.
