March 22 - 4.P.M.
Went direct to no 7
- no bird flushed and this sun
around nest. Nest contained
bits of yolk - all eggs broken
and [illegible] - written
cycle straight - no trace of
feathers or shells on ground.
One bird seen over hill - moved
about 2 parts to 5 then to seventh
2 birds not seen. Chick was
fresh enough so that smell
I not move from broken earlier than
yesterday. The only thing I can
think of is a sparrow or mynaid -
possibly cut off. Bills of the living
had been torn up either in
the process or later.
Went with no. 6 - Bird flushed
as I came to spot in sullen and
I drew - the flush low and
5 as usual when flushed
from line. - gave a brake note
- then went E side of tree -
male had not come for 2 mins.

SE and finally went at nest
jiggling around and adjusting
facing me to N. At this at
about 4:40 - In a minute
