Cage Bird
May 2 - now flying well. - notes
not much changed - a little stumpy
Staccato notes. Birth developed -
will pick up no hitter - more
curious now - runs around room
and flits to top of large cage. Wings
are nearly grown.
May 5 - Curried at no 7 at 2/10
Both birds seem on approach -
one going to nest, the other
on the wire by the road.
Young were scared and stuck
fast to the nest - adults
much more demonstrative than
before - showed great excitement
and when young gave cry of
fear came within 2 feet.
I spent most of time photographing
- young well feathered and
restless, one removed from nest.
Could not persuade me if them
do stay on nest and he
drifted to grass below where
he disappeared. Wings spread
