April 25. 1940 Sun
Went out at 10 a.m. to photograph
the nest and young of no. 7.
The adult birds did not come within
camera range and were not shot.
Young were not hungry during
Chryso ½ — old bird (madd)
usual guess although didn't
come quite as often as usual.
Did little else than photo
— visited no other nests.
Monday April 25
Young cage bird gives whubbling
food call with wired flutter
when very hungry but only give
faint twitter within begging most
of time. Yesterday and today he
has frequently stood up full
length and flutted wings
saying a version of the Brachet
note — it is not if, full sharpness
as yet. Swimmingly this jig is
just an elaborate stretching.
He can now take off again (over)
The table and fly up to the cage!?
