Mr C - female met to me with gill
shrikes at bridge when I approached
at 9.20. male not present. Young
11 were back in nest - except for one -
No young other than the two
remaining in nest were closer than
5 ft. Of nest and two were 10ft
from net when I left them - but
five in net this am. - One
jumped up and chucked if
though tree as I approached
with hand - other pair ducked
low and would not let go of
trying - I did not disturb
them except me & the -
me that fell yesterday. It
still seemed a little wobbly
but could push ok. - It was
in same position in nest as
when I left it yesterday.
Parent did not quirt down
much when I shut to do port
but flew 2 young in two thin to
net - should it nice - it was
stubb stuff dirty in bottom yet
other most of young were gone
The floods seemed sweet turn
and fed side I think but
was very nervous - twitching
tail and flying back and
forth then took - scratching
and begging a few turns
