young would not stay in nest - except
for one of them but climbed 2 or three
feet out through limbs, even the small
one - who just now fell and injured
self - perhaps fatally - hit hard ground -
its feathers were well developed than others
and fall was not broken. - others climbing
higher. - finally shovelled up a bit and
disturbing would called perch and climb a
little - I gripped it in nest and left it -
one other also in nest.
Went to no 7 - bird flushed as I
walked under him. Eggs all fell - even
no 7 - however no 6 are well cracked
and always in more than one place
while no 7 has some small check
only. Eggs weighed - bird not
present at my first trip up but
came into limbs 10 ft away at
the other tups - lay-scratch and
pocket notes only before heated.
Two birds once sat side by side
within 10 ft if me - they are
identical as far as I can tell
at that distance.
Left at 11:am - none hatched
yet - though could feel young
working inside.
no 4/L bird sitting so I approached
and left only after shocking the
beneath. She then acted as usual
going & dead off to tree and several
birds coming in to nest them within
