8.30 - arrived at no 4 - bird
on tree top but not seem to flush -
not badly tuffed due to heavy wind of
last week - eggs however wanted
war though difficulty of souping
them in nest was considerable.
Egg 4 show definite out-pushing and
probably fault of 123 also But
5 - showed definite internal scratches.
6 - not touched seemingly.
7? straightened nest cup and
bird clacked and scolded on
returning to it but after three
trips, it finally settled.
A fine mist falling. - rain at
Tuney.
I left at 8.51. Two birds equally
light - quarter lighter if anything?
Arrived at no 7 at 9.10 - no birds on
wire - nor any heard a rum for
35 min while I wrote notes.
At 9.45 I went to nest - bird sitting
and flushed as I walked under
tree. Birds - both - came equally
close and chestnut without hint of
a racket. Nest still well shaped
and the cup deep. 7 eggs OK.
Arrived at no 6 at 10.05 - both
birds in tree - I did not disturb them
but who went around to the
nearest observation post and
