Repeats, etc.
Brought in by a cat to neighbor of Mr. James F. Allen. Bird
was uninjured, and was given to Mrs. Allen, who asked me to
feed it.
Repeats, etc.
Found in inner compartment of a government
sharow trap, where it had killed two Golden-crowned
1/18/40. Found again in inner compartment of same trap,
where it had killed two more
Golden-crowned Sparrows. See Page 294.
This hawk killed several birds in my traps. I used a
No. 0 steel trap wound with cord on top of a post.
Within half an hour after setting the trap this
hawk was caught. Although there were no birds
in the trap underneath the pole-trap.
Gave birds to Dr. Richard Marel, who took it
out. To a friend. Told me 12/30/40 that the bird
had died in captivity.
