251 Wron-tit 689966. Mary Brichton and I had both noticed that the new Wron-tits we had recently caught appeared smaller and seemed to weigh less than the old repeats. I brought this one in. She weighed it, and it was much lighter 9.5 gm. than any she had ever weighed died in cage Golden-crowned Sparrow 6102022. Trapped 4/2/33 8:45 a.m. at S. Weighed at B at 9 a.m. and released. Repeated at B within two minutes in a trap about 300 ft. from place where weighed and released. Repeated again in same trap 5:45 p.m. same day. H 4/6/33 The following Golden-crowned Sparrows were trapped in Shmokeley Canon, 4/5/33, kept in cage all day at my apartment (that is after they were caught at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.) also all of 4/5. Evening of 4/5 they were put into a large paper carton with holes tied in sides, and mosquitos settling over part of top; given food and water. Left Berkeley with them at 5:30 a.m. 4/6. Arrived in K.A. same day at 4:50 p.m., when I released them in a little canon by the side of Hollywood Way, at foot of Bahmenga Peak, Plenty of oaks, shrubs, grass and water in vicinity.
