An Allen humming bird, two [illegible] warblers and a western flycatcher were also seen here. The barred wings, twitching tail, constantly moving head and small size of the flycatcher were noted. A wren-tit was seen in roadside brush near the swimming pool. - Horizon, - 22 species. Most common form: the brown towhee. Field Notes - July 3 - 1914. Time, 7 to 9 A.M. - Cloudy - no wind. Canyon road. This trip over the same route as the preceding trips was largely a review of bird songs and mannerisms. The same species were encountered in about the same localities. The party was divided into two sections, Dr. Jay- for taking one and conditions for study were more favorable. A female quail was heard calling her young, above swimming pool
