Loxioides bailleui. Native Name - Palila. Color, gray, with yellow head and neck, short thick parrot-like bill. Length 6.5 inches. Found above stone fence, Mane's Ranch Manakana Hawaii, July 15/903. Adult male. Not feeding. Food, the buds and ends of branches of Mamane. Elevation 8,000 feet.
