Prof. Dept. Bullen,
Dear Sir
I saw your name
in the "Condor" and I write to ask if you
would exchange some Hawaiian Bird skins
for American Bird skins or sets of eggs. I
would like to get one skin of each of the smaller
species up to size of small Hawk, etc. If you
can to exchange, send a list with prices for
bid and I will send list of what I can
offer, and if you do not care to exchange will
you please hand this letter to some
Collector. I wrote to the Bishop Museum
but they were not in want of any
American skins.
Very truly yours,
W.J. Wirt.
