This came close and was observed closely by me
(and Termite) It fit the description in Petersen
to a T. It possessed the same overall color
pattern, the barred rump, and the small
slightly pointed central tail feathers. I have
seen Panamie Jaegers before and this bird
appeared definitely smaller. It was light
below and dustier toward the chest but
barring of the underparts was not especially
noticeable. Returned at 1605 and circled
behind the ship. At one point it circled
above a large Pterodroma, turned and dove
it into the water. Chase was not pursued -
