Seen for over 30 minutes at ranges down
to 30yds or less. Bill yellow-dark
body grey overall, tail formed. Flew
on very stiff wings with frequent beats
interspersed with short glides. Sat
in water with BFA 30yds to stem of
ship during current station, and
sat again several times within
sight of ship. Disappeared just
before end of current station.
Absolutely no doubt about identification
