Itinerary March 6 Arrive Pago Pago, American Samoa March 10 Depart Pago Pago, American Samoa March 14 Arrive Jarvis Island, Line Islands March 19 Depart Jarvis Island, Line Islands. American Samoa The four days spent here were mainly spent catching up on reports, and refitting for the final month of operations. Considerable time was spent touring Tutila and 21 specimens of 7 species of birds, 2 fruit bats, and humorous herpetological specimens were secured. At sea observations were maintained during daylight hours on the trip to Jarvis Island. P.S. We are now on Christmas Island. Someone failed to notify either Christmas, Washington or Hanning of our visit. As a result we have initially received the old shelter and are fighting an uphill battle to faithfully accomplish our work. Jhed.
