April 19 Wildcat Condon, Castro & Co., Cal. April 30 Roxford Island, Alameda Co. Calif. The trip took about an hour and a half in all, but we spent the time learning more from each other than from the scenery. The spring was clear and blue; there were no clouds to be seen. We saw some birds flying over us, but they didn't stay long enough for us to identify them. There were also several fish jumping out of the water near shore, which made it look like a school of dolphins! It was really cool seeing all that activity up close. May 1st We started our day early this morning because we wanted to catch the sunrise at [illegible]. After getting ready and packing everything into the car, we headed towards the destination. As soon as we arrived, I could see why people come here so often - it's just beautiful! The sky was painted with shades of orange, pink, purple, and red – absolutely stunning! And then when you look around, you realize how vast the ocean is compared to where we are standing now. This makes me think about how small we really are in comparison to nature itself.
