Dear Roger & Warren: Enclosed are the list of all those birds recovered on Midway and Kure. All are arranged on work sheets. All bands that Jim and Bill and Endicott received are listed here, however there is some overlap with the list you sent in with your first progress report and I have not attempted to add these or straighten them out. We have run out of the official substitute return sheets so we are using this rather satisfactory system. These sheets will be left on Kure for Bill to continue when he comes out. List returns even if less than 3 months since last one. Make sure to indicate incubating nesting birds and to distinguish Sand and Eastern Island. Hope you can get all the returns on these sheets without too much confusion or extra work. I have a duplicate set here but will not attempt to keep them up to date until all the data comes back in April or May. Have you been over to Midway lately to look for ducks? When Jim left there were still great numbers there all around, according to him, in weak condition.
