Dear Yehuda:
It was very good to hear from you again, and to learn that everything is going well with you. It sounds as though you had an exceedingly wonderful trip in 1970-71.
Regarding the temperature data for Coloonyx variagatus: Yes, the only portion I have published so far was in "Desert Biology". Hopefully, I can get the rest written up sometime this year.
Between my rather heavy teaching load the last couple of years, and spending the summers of 1970 and 1971 in India, manuscripts have not been completed very fast in recent months. I expect this to change now, however.
The following, I think, is the information you desire regarding Coloonyx:
Month N Mean Temperature (°C) Range
November 1 30.3 ----
October 12 27.6 20.2-35.6
September 30 31.6 22.2-37.0
August 34 32.3 27.9-36.2
July 15 33.0 30.2-37.2
June 21 28.9 23.2-33.0
May 42 26.0 19.6-32.7
April 111 23.6 17.2-30.4
March 2 25.6 20.0-34.8
Total 204 27.2 17.2-37.2
