Lehner, P. 1964 Dec. 24 ran guyn wire census from 700 to 1910; at 1245 the crew took target practice on the island and disrupted the count; however, Doc and I got to shoot a few rounds and not all was lost; we started the count again at 2:00; Sooty Terns started arriving about 4:20; the Red-footed Boobies are sitting on the island more. Dec. 27 started the mouse activity study at 11:30 A.M.; ran it every 2 hours until 7:30 P.M. on the 28th; took blood from 1 broken wing Sooty; we started autopsying broken wing sooties today and checking their molt and reproductive condition.
