Lehner, P. 1964 Nov. 29 up at 9:30 to spend a day of leisure; ran a few errands with Standen and truck; hit the beach and bookstore where I layed in a supply of paperbacks for Sand Island; Bob roared into the room at about 3:30 in his shorts and X-country shoes to announce that he was about to jog out to the park for his race - I decided to pass up the event and returned to my Tom Collins and Erskine Caldwell; later, but still early evening, Bob returned saying he had placed 10th; Husted, Standen and I had supper and hit the town; we once more hit the Merry Monarch - this time we met Diane who was destined to be in and out of my room several times in the next few days.
