25 April 81 Tucson Ariz 5970 283 Indrius var namns 6.1X10/ 9 2 Dick, brown, Bill dark brown yellowish at face below. Legs pale brownish. Worms and insects. This is the first I have seen in Arizona. I found it common in San Diego Co but Badly shot about the head, 5-471 284 Phaenopella nitens 7.9X11.3 8 Red Bill and legs black. Not common here. I had expected to find them abundant. Heard a weak attempt at a song. They have a sweet though not loud song. They are very fond of Mistletoe berries and in their season P. nitens can scarcely be found elsewhere than in their vicinity. These berries are very scarce in N.M. and on the Pacific Coast.
