20 April 8 Jackson Ariz squamate and finally saw one but failed to get a shot. Saw a few Curve-billed Thrushes in the thick brush in the arroyas. Found many Ocotillas in bloom and expected to find Humming birds about them but saw none. Saw several Colaptes chrysoides but they are very shy. Saw and killed a Pyrrhulixi sinuata among the Ocotillas on a hillside. Heard a number of Campylorhynchus bunneicapillus. Saw many Pospiza hillinata, also a few Anisiparus flav and Helminthothaga luciae which seem to be so abundant as to have to take to the hills for room. Heard a Polioptila or two. Three with a Pic & otherdous propalidis scalaris. I believe include all the species I noted away from this lot. Had quite a rain last night.
