Note "Poo-ave" Common in summer in rocky localities, especially foot hills. This may be fighting in the ground and picking up beetles and flying up again at twilight. Difficult to get by reason of their nocturnal habits. 9 April 81 9 Miles East of Tombstone A.T. 5870 183 Callipheila squamata 10.3x14.3 ♂ 5871 184 Ptilo chlorinus 7.3x9.6 ♂ Light from. Bill dark above flush brown below. Legs half brownish, feet darker. Not- common this far south. Frequent low brush. This was in a little patch of Willows in an arroyo. Bird in act 5872 185 Embidionus obscurus 5.9x6.2 ♂ 5873 186 Ptilo fracs 8.1x10.9 ♀ Bill dark from above, lighter below. Legs light brown, Feet darker. Killed its mate at the same shot but it is mounting,
