5 April 1858 5852 10 miles east of Tombstone Ariz 165 Myiarchus cinerascens 6.8 X 27 8 I brown. Common in timber along streams and valleys, not in heavy Timber of mountains. Tiny feet. 5853 166 Harpophylax crissalis 4.21 X 12.3 8 Light brown. Stomach contained insects and a small lizard. Not very common. Found in low brush along streams & valleys. Not a cactus thrush like war. halmeri and bendirei. Hants for food on the ground under the brush. Flat summers. Shy. 5854 167 Polioptila caerulea 4.9 X 6.6 8 5855 168 Empidonax obscurus 6.1 X 9.1 8 I.dk brown. First one seen in Ariz. Saw but two or three in N. Mex. There are but few trees here and scattered, and those I saw in N. Mex. were in a similar locality. Heard a shrill "chirp" while flying.
