Brown. First sun this season.
Not very common except in a
few localities. I can hardly
make out any differences among
this species here and have found but very few that
answered to the description
of var. arizonal. Cala examples
are almost identical with
those from N. M. Baird speaks
of var. mixicana being found
at the "Copper Mines". I lived
within ten miles of the mines
over a year, collecting most of
the time and I failed to get
even a very dark var. arizonal.
Kicks more in trees than C. tristis.
