My attention was called to the song of some bird, crowing from the mountain brook running past camp. I thought at first it was the song of some Mocking Thrush for it sounded very similar. On looking for the author I found the sound came from behind some Willows at the water's edge and observing ripples in the water as if some bird was bathing. I was still more puzzled as I could not see the bird.
