7 March 81 Saw a large bird having much the appearance of the Calv Vulture, but it did not appear much if any larger than the Turkey Vulture. It was flying at perhaps a quarter of a mile distance, I could distinguish some white under the wings and tail. Otherwise it was black. Killed a Deer and saw two others. Weather pleasant.
