Camp Lowell
To J. Stephens
Micrathena whitneyi 5.8x3.5? Parent of two nymphs. I had made a sort of ladder and had climb up to a hole in a Giant Cactus and made
Trying it spin with my knife. I found these Ovls in it. There was also another young one dead in the nest. The hole was on the south side and yesterday was very hot so it probably smothered. In mother hole on the other side was a nest of Myiarchus sp? containing one egg and two young just hatched. The egg is somewhat like that of Mr. cinnamens as I remember it, excepting this has some diagonal and crosswise streaks as well as those running lengthwise of the egg.
