1907 Ceophloeus pileatus E. Amberg
August 7
When I went up Cerro de Pena
country June Brown in june 1903 on
route just below the big
found about 200 yards above the big
"Copan" which is to be the ruin
I saw of a Pileated woodpecker. It was
in a dead tree about 30 yards from
in a dead tree burr, For some reason
came of the burr. I had some
that I was forgetting on and not
due I was forgetting or did not
even it. But I asked Alma Craig
to do so. He told me to dig that
he went three years I left Honduras
I found a brood of young Pileated woodpecker
about on the outside of the
climbing about 30 feet up a small
tree. The wife of my companion climbed
up to eggs. His companion climbed
to the tree & found in the hole
two young birds, June 9
four years much larger than the
other two.
