Bubo virginianus.
Bubo virginianus
1901, Maine
Aug. & Sept. Lake Umbazogus. The O. C. Lottrop who
has occupied my camp at Pine Point since
June tells me (on Sept. 9th) that the "yelping"
Owl (which I now believe to be Bubo virginianus)
has paid several recent visits at night to the
woods on a near this point. (Coped from
Lottrop's notes)
