1896. while several Barn Swallows and a pair of King Birds were
Aug.14. hovering over and darting down at it uttering their shrill
(No.2). alarm cries incessantly. I could not understand why it did
not try to catch one of the slow-moving clumsy King Birds
which, surely, would have proved an easy prey.
