Aegialitis semipalmata.
Lake Umbagog, Maine. Moose Point at evening.
1900.
Sept.10. As the daylight faded two Ring-necked Plover came close
about me, uttering their plaintive, wailing airs. Earlier in
the day we saw them running about on the Point in company
with a Least Sandpiper and I got a good photograph of the
trio. The marshes are now in fine condition for waders.
