Anas carolinensis.
Lake Umbagog, Maine.
1897. Upon reaching Moose Point this morning we found two sons
Sept.6. of Dr. Nichols of Cambridge, who are camping with Harry Crock-
er just above Pine Point. They told us that they had killed
a Green-winged Teal on Saturday, Sept. 4th, an early date. (I
afterwards saw the wings which were apparently those of an
adult female).
