Oct. 30th Mil. Spring on
north side of lake, and on
south shore of Lake Umbagog.
No. Young which were
flying about over the water
suddenly disappeared into an island
receding a number of times
carrying various kinds of food
with calling cackles, etc.
in a large circle around this
first of a few young.
One looked like the immature
of the great gull on Oct. 27th
