Pluvialis dominica

1330 - while I have been replacing linear grid stubs in the Array, rest fl ocks of Pluvialis
uninterruptedly
have been flying around me for the last half-hour. This is a common midday occurrence.
counted one flock of 10, another 30. Others can be seen landed in the Array, congregating
near the water. 1350 - a flock of 156 is drinking and bathing by the Array from
me. It appears as if they've come down from their usual foraging grounds which
surround the array here to drink and bathe. How remarkable to see so many golden so
close close together with so little aggression.

0905 and take dispersion data on 176, coin is taking following data again on 16m. The birds
look as if it is exactly the same bird, as that used by golden we followed on this
morning last month - i.e., I suspect it is the same bird, just supplanted. The supplanted
bird flew to 176 and was immediately supplanted again by one of the territorial goldens there.
