May a wide roamer are at 30 this season. The bird which brings out and comes during his daily wanderings the distance from our camp to Ogord's Point in one direction or to the end of Spencer's Point in another or at least 5 acres. Where his nest is we can form no idea.
A few days ago I watched him fly a few yards off. He was quite still with tail held erect the whole time

" 14* Dry with water.
Dry summer at Pine Point & in the Mason logging woods, one at Sweet Meadow (June 5), three near Ballard, one on Knoll behind Baller House, one off Cambridge River (June 12). This is the summary. The bird was evidently much smaller than 4 yrs at the foot of the falls but in the Pine Point & Mason woods as mentioned as I have ever seen it anywhere. The length of its singing season was from May 25 to June 3.
Before & after these dates it sang chiefly at early morning & late evening. We found 4 or 10 "crock nests" but none with eggs or young.
